As part of our relaunch, iRi is committed to becoming a more sustainable brand. Our mission is to show that even a small team like ours can contribute to the growing movement towards sustainability and social responsibility without sacrificing our original vision and quality of our products.
iRi's first goal in this journey is to make sure our products are made with more sustainable materials. We have started this process by sourcing more ethical and sustainable materials for our relaunch. For every next collection, we hope that our products will increasingly be more and more sustainable.
Our sustainability journey starts with the materials we have sourced to make our new and improved products.
Our contribution towards reinforcing a sustainable industry is small, but we hope this will grow as we also grow as a brand.
Recycled KrPET Yarn
Both the neoprene fabric used for MONLE and knit fabric for VES, SOU and WES II are made of recycled PET plastic bottles (KrPET) with GRS and ECO Passport certificates (OEKO-TEX®). It is the only eco-friendly material that uses recycled PET bottles in Korea as a measure to reduce waste and CO2 emissions.
Better Insoles
Our removable insoles for VES, SOU, and WES are made with recycled coconut insoles, which not only have a better breathability, sweat absorption, and are naturally deodorizing. DAAN’s insoles are made with locally sources recycled coffee powder. Both insoles also proudly have OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 label.
